David L. Young, 66, died Tuesday, May 10, in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Born in Philadelphia on September 2, 1944, the son of the late Ruth (Addison) and Robert B.Young. David served four years with the U.S. Navy on one of its first nuclear submarines, the USS Skate, the first submarine to surface at the North Pole. He worked for many years in the automotive industry, earning consecutive national awards as service manager. He is survived by two sons, Robert and Michael and their wives; five grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Korale and Nan Pritchard; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and longtime friends. He is predeceased by his former wife Kathleen; a brother, Robert;and a brother John. Funeral Services will be private. The C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
