Clyde M. Riegel, 70, of Quakertown died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in his home. He was the loving husband of Shirley A. (Cassel) Riegel. They were married 53 years on August 14, 2005. Born in Abington, PA he was the loving son of the late William H. & Alberta (Snyder) Riegel. He was a realtor for Coldwell Banker in Quakertown. Prior to that he owned and operated Riegel Real Estate for 42 years. He was a member of the Bucks County, Pennsylvania and National Board of Realtors. He was a Boy Scout leader for several troops; he was a member of the former Kiwanis Club of Quakertown where he had served as president. He was on the former Quakertown Hospital Authority Board and secretary of Quakertown Union Cemetery Association. He was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown, where he served on church council. In addition to his wife, he was the loving father of a daughter Jo Ann wife of Ronald L. Grate of Jim Thorpe, two sons Barry C. of Jim Thorpe and John S. and his wife Annette of Sellersville. He was the loving grandfather of Jason and his wife Missey, Scott, Justin, Alyssa and loving great grandfather of Alyiah. He is also survived by two sisters Gloria wife of Robert Shannon of Perkasie and Ruth wife of William Beer of Perkasie, his mother-in-law Irene Cassel of Quakertown, and sisters-in-law Jennie Riegel of Dublin, and Pauline M. Cassel of Milford Township. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Debra Lou, his brother William H. Riegel, Jr., and father-in-law Paul Cassel. Services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Church of Christ 4th & Park Ave. Quakertown. Call 9:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
