Charlotte Mae Trumbauer, 88, of Quakertown died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Elmer J. Trumbauer, Jr. Born in Warminster, she was the daughter of the late Harold & Charlotte (Hacker) Rosenberger. Charlotte was recognized for her extensive involvement in organizing and participating in the volunteer program of the former Quakertown Community Hospital. Prior to obtaining her BS in teaching from Kutztown University, Charlotte worked in several one room school houses. She later retired form the Quakertown Community School District after teaching for 36 years and enjoyed many years traveling abroad. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quakertown. Surviving are a son Wayne J. and his wife Linda of Allentown; a daughter Marlene E. Hengey of Quakertown and her husband Richard; a sister Mary Weber of Florida; three grandchildren - Sarah, Lisa, and Brian; two great grandchildren - Stephanie and Ariel. Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Friday 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
