Charles R. Painter, 82 of Quakertown died Saturday May 1, 2010 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Minerva (Harding) Painter. Born in Camden, NJ he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Velma L. (Russell) Painter. He was a machinist for the former American Olean Tile Co. in Quakertown before retiring. Charles enjoyed fishing and watching baseball. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by a daughter Linda D. Campbell and her husband William, Jr. of Millville, PA and a son Dale R. and his wife Diane of Quakertown. Grandsons William Campbell, III and Brian Campbell. Great grandchildren Kimberly Campbell, Nicholas Campbell and John William Kincade. He is also survived by a cousin Pauline Scholl. Predeceased by a brother Robert H. Services will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951.
