Charles A. Ervin

Charles A. Ervin, 84, of Coopersburg died May 30, 2015 in St. Lukes University Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Twila J. (Gray) Ervin who passed away in 1994. Born in Hazelton, PA on April 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Samuel A. & Ann Ervin. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1949. He was a carpenter and owned his own building business until 1981, he then went into insurance and investments in 1981 until he retired in 1996. He was a member of the Trumbauersville Lions Club for over 30 years, and he was an avid hunter and angler. Charles was a member of Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ in Spinnerstown. He joined the Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his three children, Jo Strohmeier and husband Roger, Keith Ervin and wife Kimberly and Kim Wenhold and husband Don all of Quakertown. Eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 10:00-11:00 A. M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Christ Union Cemetery, Trumbauersville, PA next to his late wife.
