Bradley Eugene Cianciola

d. September 18, 2011

Brad Cianciola, 49, of Quakertown died September 18, 2011 in his home. He was the husband of Tracy Ann (Holaday) Cianciola. They were married 16 years. Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Brad was a son of Edna Mae (Showers) Shanok and stepfather Dan Shanok of Somerset, New Jersey, and the late Paul Cianciola. He graduated from Watchung Hills High School in Warren, NJ and earned a degree in electrical engineering from DeVry Technical Institute. He worked as a software engineer for GE Healthcare. Brad was a supremely talented musician. A skilled luthier and true artist on the guitar, he formed and led many bands over the course of four decades. The groups - such as Who Cares, Striptease, and Shakedown - spanned genres from jazz to classic rock, toured locally and nationally, and kept their fans dancing all night. Brad was also an avid reader of history, a committed listener to NPR, and a great cook, especially of Pennsylvania Dutch food. Brad was a member of Richland Meeting House in Quakertown where he published the Pot Luck Press. In addition to his wife and parents, Brad is survived by his three beloved children, Joe, Tyler and Amelia. Brad also leaves four brothers and one sister-in-law - Duff Ripka, Tony Cianciola, Denise Cianciola, Marc Cianciola, and Nate Shanok - as well as frisky Jude and spirited Dannybilly. The memorial service will be on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Richland Friends Meeting House, at Mill Road and Main Street, Quakertown, PA 18951, (215) 538-7555.
