Betty Y. Markle, 85, of Quakertown died August 16, 2009 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She was the wife of the late Victor H. Markle, Jr. Born in Emmaus, PA she was the daughter of the late Claude & Lila (Feather) Rauch. She was a waitress for the former Meyers Restaurant and Trainers Restaurant before retiring. Betty was a member of the former Quakertown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also an outstanding Artist and loved to Quilt. She is survived by two sons Van V. and his wife Alba of Blackstone, Massachusettes, Victor H., III and his wife Pati of Quakertown. A daughter Susie Y. Rothrock and her husband Dave of Jersey Shore, PA. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
