Betty Tarantino, 70 of Quakertown died September 3, 2009 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Born in Quakertown, daughter of the late Harry Tarantino and the late Margaret (Layton) Fisher. She was a unit clerk for St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital before her illness. Betty was a life member of the Richland Township (Shelly) Fire & Rescue and captain of its fire police. She is survived by a sister Diana Buhman, brothers Tony, Chris and Bobby, step mother Janet Drago. Betty is also survived by her ex husband and dear friend Forrest "Pete" Peters and cousin, close friend and caregiver Marie Bentley. She was predeceased by her companion Morris Rotenberger. Betty will also be missed by her dog Precious. Services will be held Wednesday September 9, at 10:30 a.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
