Betty J. Funk, Quakertown, formerly of Bethlehem, died Wednesday February 13th in her home. She was 80. Born in Fountain Hill, she was wife of Clarence L. Funk and the daughter of the late Theodore C. & Ada (Esterly) Strohl. An avid bird watcher, Betty found peace in watching the birds that she welcomed into her yard. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing bingo and knitting. Spending time with her family was what she loved most of all. Betty will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons - Robert and his wife Janet of Breinigsville, Theodore and his friend Ruth of Catasaqua, and Richard and his wife Karen of Allentown; a daughter - Beth Cressman and her husband Ron of Allentown; seven grandchildren - Tammie, Misty, Adam, Ashley, Samantha, Mark, and Lindsey; two great grandchildren - Landon and James. She was predeceased by two brothers - Carl and "Buddy" and a sister Marjorie. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
