Betty D. Schwenk

Betty D. Schwenk, 90 of Quakertown died peacefully at home, Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was the wife of the late William G. Schwenk.Born in Niagara Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Dawn (Kaumeyer) Downs.Betty was formerly employed by the Sears Home Shopping Catalog Store in Quakertown. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. A member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quakertown, Betty was also a friend of Quakertown United Methodist Church. She much enjoyed her outings with the Trinity Butterflies, her trips to the casino, and traveling to Fort Myers, Florida with her late husband. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (David) Hafler of Quakertown and Pamela (Dan) Phillips of Nashville, Tennessee, a granddaughter, Amanda Hafler, a student at Elizabethtown College, a sister, Dorothy (Joseph) MacVittie of Syracuse, New York, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Gerald, and sister-in-law Tina Downs.Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church 102 N. Hellertown Ave. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements are in the care of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown.
