Bertha S. Simmons, 95 of Pennsburg formerly of Quakertown and Philadelphia died Saturday November 1, 2008 in Pennsburg Manor. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Simmons. Born in Philadelphia She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Alisauskas) Metris. She was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Quakertown. Bertha was also a member of the Knights of Lithuania. She is survived by a son Joseph E. and wife Trudi of New Tripoli and a daughter Ann S. Pettit and husband Gene of Telford. Four grandchildren Andrew, Mark, Chris and Janet. Ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Joseph. A mass will be held on Wednesday November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Isidores Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
