Bertha A. Tarantino, 90, of Quakertown died Thursday, May 11, 2006 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twsp. She was the wife of William P. Tarantino. They were married 59 years in April. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Xavier & Tekla Jasinski. She was last employed as a seamstress for the former Royal Pants Co. in Perkasie. She was a member of the Union of Polish Women of America and a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242 Ladies Auxiliary. Bertha was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and gardening. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son William M. and his wife Linda E. of Hatfield. A sister Stella Swierzewski of Pennsburg. A grandchild Amanda Marie. She was predeceased by a daughter Patricia and a brother Raymond. A mass will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown. Call Monday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown and Tuesday 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the church.
