Bernice J. Metzger

Bernice J. Metzger, 77, of Quakertown formerly of Sellersville went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2015 in the Lutheran Community at Telford surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Keith R. Metzger. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last October. Born in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard K. & Dorothy H. (Heiser) Diehl. She was last employed by the former Godshall Pharmacy in Perkasie. As a young mother, she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader and was active in her church, First United Methodist Church in Perkasie, where she enjoyed decorating the church at Christmas for many years. Later in life she enjoyed watching and feeding birds and other wildlife. Most importantly she was happily devoted to her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Kelly C. Sutherland, a son, Christofer E., husband to Kim E. and three cherished grandchildren, Geffen, Gabrielle, and Isabel. She is also survived by a loving sister, Mona D. Bickhart as well as several nieces and nephews.
