Arthur L. Kern

Arthur L. Kern, 74, of Quakertown died October 24, 2013 in his home. Husband of Marilyn (Hartley) Kern. They were married 49 years in July. Born in Jenkins Township, PA son of the late Albert & Camilla (Dunning) Kern. He was a driver for Bucks County Transport. Prior to that he was a head custodian for the Central Bucks School District, and a steelworker for the former U.S. Steel. Arthur was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Tom of Trumbauersville, and a daughter Michele Sine (Brent) of Pennsburg. Three brothers and two sisters. Two grandchildren Mandi and Adam Sine. Services will be held on Monday, October 28 at 8:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of ones choice.
