Arthur J. Young, 79, of Quakertown died January 31, 2010 in his home. Husband of Betty M. (Bernd) Young. They were married 59 years last August. Born in Reading he was the son of the late William & Delia Young. He was a self-employed contractor retiring in 1989. After his retirement he drove bus for Levy School Bus Company until January 4, 2010. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world and reading. Arthur was a member of East Swamp Church in Quakertown where he served as a deacon, usher, trustee and was a member of the senior adult group. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Susan E. Peiffer and her husband Harold of Coopersburg, Fred W. and his wife Debra of Spinnerstown, and Heidi N. Murphy and her husband William of Lansdale. One brother and two sisters. Eight grandchildren and one great grandson. The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, February 6th at 4:00 P.M. at East Swamp Church 2405 E. Swamp Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951. There will be no calling hours. The C. R.
