Alma R. Morrell

Alma R. Morrell, 98, of Quakertown died March 5, 2009 in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late John Morrell, Jr. Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late William E. & Flora (King) Rutter. Alma was a 1931 graduate of Delaware Hospital and was a registered nurse for 18 years at Easton Hospital. Prior to that she was an RN at the Atlantic City Hospital and Lower Bucks Hospital. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville and its 39'ers Club. She was a former member of the Melody Lakes Craft Group. Alma is survived by a son John Morrell, III and his wife Eugenia. Three daughters Flora E. Rissmiller and her husband Richard, Sally A. Applegate and Alma Nola Reynard. A brother Leonard and his wife Edith and a sister Marie Dale. Sister-in-law Margaret Bruce. Six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son, two daughters and a son-in-law Edward. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on March 10, 2009 at Emily Methodist Cemetery, New Falls Rd., Levittown.
