Allan W. Bloss, 61, of Coopersburg, died May 7th At Lehigh Valley Hospice Allentown. He was the husband of Sandra (Shearer) Bloss. They celebrated 35 years of marriage last September. Born in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Pauline (Giger) Bloss. He was a 1966 graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem. Allan owned and operated Aces Excavation, Inc. in Coopersburg and proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. At an early age, he became interested in the inner working of electronics and soon became a self taught computer geek. Allan was a hard worker and devoted family man. Unable to say "Grampa" when first learning to speak, his grandson Ethan once referred to him as "that guy" and it stuck. It was simple. Just like Allan. He enjoyed fishing and quiet afternoons on his deck. His happiest times were spent in the company of the family he loved so much, graciously hosting countless family reunions at their home. Allan truly was "one of the good guys" and that is how he will forever be remembered. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Eric and his wife Christine of Northampton; a daughter Caitlin and her husband Josh Price of Center Valley; four brothers - Robert, Gary, Charles, and Kenneth; a sister Marylou Starrett; and two grandchildren - Celeste and Ethan.
