A. Helen Hartzell Kooker, of Quakertown, died October 17, 2009 in Quakertown Center Genesis Health Care. She was 102. She was the wife of the late Vernon H. Hartzell and the late Earl Kooker. Born in Richland Township, she was the daughter of the late Henry & Catharine C. (Kiesele) Diehl. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Best Maid Hoisery in Quakertown. Helen was a member of the Quakertown Senior Center, AARP, and the West End Fire Company #2 Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is survived by a daughter Anna Wolfinger and her husband Harold of Quakertown; two grandchildren - Richard A. Wolfinger and his wife June, Teena Derkosh and her companion Bill Corry; three great grandchildren - Jason and Janel Derkosh, and Keith Wolfinger. Nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Vernon H. Hartzell. Services will be held on October 23, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
