Susan Lynne Mitchell

Susan Lynne Mitchell, 57 of Quakertown died October 21, 2016 in the hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born in South Amboy, NJ she was the daughter of Lillian M. (Geiger) Mitchell and the late James H. Mitchell. She was the beloved and dedicated foster mother to the late Rob Stevens. She was a graduate of Muhlenburg College, and a registered nurse working in the ICU/Trauma department of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest before retiring in 2015. Susan enjoyed traveling especially with Rob. She also had many hobbies including reading, crocheting, sewing, baking, and gardening which was evident through her gardens surrounding her home. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Quakertown where she was involved in Bible Study and taught Sunday School. She was also an active supporter and participant in efforts of Thomas Missions in Nicaragua. In addition to her mother she is survived by a sister Kathleen Davies (Gary), two brothers James R. Mitchell and Thomas L. Mitchell (Cynthia). Five nephews, four nieces and numerous loving, and supporting friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. in the First UCC Church, 151 South 4th Street, Quakertown PA. Call 3:00 P.M to 4:00P.M. at the church. C. R.
