Russell H. Slifer, Jr., 54, of Quakertown died June 24th in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Christine (Keiser) Slifer. They would have been married 37 years in July. Born in Quakertown he was the son of Russell, Sr. & Valentine (Strong) Slifer of Quakertown. He was a laborer for various employers in the Quakertown area. Russell attended West Swamp Mennonite Church in Quakertown. He was also a beloved husband and father. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by a brother James of Pottstown a sister Valentine Hoot of Hereford. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Russell Slifer, III in 1995. Services will be held on Saturday evening June 27, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in West Swamp Mennonite Church 2501 Allentown Rd. Quakertown. Call Saturday 6:00-7:00 P.M. in the church. The C. R.
