Homer O. Shup, 89, of Trumbauersville died March 17, 2011 in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. He was the loving and devoted husband of Mildred (Stump) Shup. They were married 65 years in January. Born in Trumbauersville he was the son of the late Harvey B. & Laura (Oberholtzer) Shup. He was the owner/operator of the former H.B. Shup & Son Metal Fabrication in Trumbauersville. After selling the business in 1996 at the age of 75, Homer stayed very active taking up woodworking and began to display his talent of not only being able to do amazing things with metal but also wood. Having an artistic eye he was an avid photographer having a dark room in his basement. He also enjoyed gardening and snowmobiling. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WW II. Homer was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Trumbauersville. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Wanda and her husband Michael Russo of Bristol. Two grandchildren Jenna Russo and her fiancee Bob Baiocchi, and Dana Russo and her husband Philip Harris. He was predeceased by a son Dennis, a daughter Irene Faye Heiney and a sister Joyce Mower. And as stated by his daughter and grandchildren he was the best dad and grandpa ever. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the C. R.
