Earl J. Kernechel, 77, of Quakertown died Thursday, December 15, 2011 in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Shirley (Hatch) Kernechel and the late Marilyn (Berger) Kernechel. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Earl E. & Johanna (Rehak) Kernechel. He was a supervisor for American Olean Tile Co. of Lansdale before retiring in 1991. After his retirement he was a driver for the Sellersville Charge a Car. He was an avid car enthusiast and a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Plymouth Owners Club, Inc. In addition to his first wife he was predeceased by a daughter Mari-Lynn. He is survived by three step sons David Bogusky (Mary), Dan Bogusky (Dianne), and Alan Bogusky. Brother Calvin (Barbara), three sisters Pearl Landis, Nancy Pearson (Jake) and Joann Weiss (Paul). Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Agnes, a brother Lawrence and a brother in law Paul Landis. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
