Charles H. Herman

Charles H. Herman, 86, of Quakertown died September 8, 2015 in his home. He was the husband of Rita M. (Kaiser) Herman. They were married 60 years in June. Born in Lower Milford Twsp., he was the son of the late Sylvester J. & Carrie (Barthold) Herman. He retired in 1993 from the former U.S. Gauge/Ametek Division. He enjoyed traveling, especially with the Roadtrek, he also enjoyed gardening and having a tomato plant challenge with Walt, reading Westerns, playing pinochle and contract rummy, woodcrafting, camping with the family, morning breaks with Rita for a muffin and coffee at a restaurant, boating especially with Go Go Charlie boat, playing pool with Walt and friends, repairing cars, and riding motorcycles. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Michael Kemmerer, and Walter Kemmerer, a daughter Kathleen Novak. A brother Robert and a sister Lena Hrabina. Six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Predeceased by a brother John.
